Gourmetfoodauction.com was organize to be an alternative for manufactures of food items to circumvent the grocery chains and the slotting fees charged by them, up to $10,000 per item, and go directly to the consumer.
The company was organized in 2005 and was sponsor of food program on KLIF, a local Dallas, TX radio show. The reception of the company was well received and the listeners supported the company by flocking and entering orders over the weekend.
The company aired a commercial on Memorial Day 2005 on Food TV and the principal of the firm was interviewed live on Fox Business News in 2009. Gourmetfoodauction has reinvented itself to offer the public a way to by hard to find items as well as specialty items.
Gourmetfoodauction considers itself the Ebay of food and conducts business that way. The consumer has the option to bid for a product, place an offer or buy it now. What ever way the consumer has purchased the product we differ by the fact that you will not pay for shipping, the product comes out of one warehouse so if you have one or various items being delivered then Gourmetfoodauction has the ability to ship all the items in one box to the consumer thereby assuring that the consumer will get there items in a timely manner.
Gourmetfoodauction prides itself on finding the freshest or unique items that consumers either like, are interested in, have a question or about or want. Gourmetfoodauction believes in customer first there has been times when customers called customer service and asked for special items which was accommodated such as boneless turtle.
The future plans for Gourmetfoodauction is to have its' own radio network both on the internet and air radio. Further plans call for a dedicated television broadcast where the consumer can see the items on live TV then place a bid.
Further plans call for Gourmetfoodauction to have an Apple or tablet application so the consumer can stay in contact with any bid they may have placed. If you have any comments ro question splease contact Gormetfoodauction's customer service at customerservice@gourmetfoodauction.com
